The Conservatory Restaurant at the Scarthwaite Hotel seats up to forty guests and is the ideal location to enjoy locally sourced, home-made cuisine at affordable prices.

We care about our carbon footprint, so the majority of the quality seasonal produce we use is grown or reared by local farmers or wholesalers within 30 miles of the hotel.  Our milk, cream and eggs are all free range and our beef is traceable to the farm and the animal that produced it.

The Restaurant is open to residents and non-residents seven nights a week, from 6 to 8.30pm.  Advanced booking is advised for non-residents and parties of over 6 guests.

For our evening service we offer guests a wide variety of pub style classics, ethnic inspired dishes, vegetarian, brasserie, fish and other local specialties.

Adjoining the Restaurant is the bar where we serve locally brewed bottled beers as well as traditional keg beer and cider, along with a variety of house wines from around the world. It is the perfect location to enjoy a drink in front of an open fire in the cooler months, or in the picturesque beer garden in the warmer periods.
